Philip Eastwood, owner of the Grindleford Station cafe, has died at the age of 63.
Mr Eastwood, had a heart attack while dancing at a party.

The former chippie, nightclub bouncer, debt collector and hot dog seller had run the cafe, once the station waiting rooms, for over 30 years.

Well-known for its Full English Breakfasts and pint mugs of tea and popular with climbers and ramblers, the cafe was famous for the warning notices stuck up everywhere.

"He was one of a kind," said cafe assistant Stacey Bailey. "When the customers heard, some cried."

My thoughts go out to his family at this sad time. I'll never forget the time we went out and had a few too many Guinness'. They broke the mold when they made you. R.I.P. Phil, you will be sadly missed.
