Pc Anthony Mulhall died after being found injured on Mount Snowdon.
The Sheffield police officer was captured on CCTV punching a young black woman repeatedly as he tried to arrest her outside a Sheffield nightclub.

He was cleared of any wrongdoing in January following an inquiry by the Independent Police Complaint
s Commission (IPCC).

Pc Mulhall was reported missing from his Rotherham home and found injured in the National Park in North Wales by mountain rescue teams the following day.

Pc Mulhall, aged in his early 40s, served in South Yorkshire for more than 11 years.

Pc Mulhall was married to another police officer.

Chief Constable Meredydd Hughes said: "This is terrible news and our condolences go out to his family. Pc Mulhall was highly regarded and will be missed by all his colleagues and friends."

I had known Tony for years, and a nicer, kinder bloke you couldnt wish to meet - plus he was a total professional. Its all too easy to lose sight of the human being in all of this ranting. Justice was seen through to the end in respect of the public order incident - end of story. Forget that he was a cop for just one moment.....a GOOD man has met his end ....because he wasnt heard loud enough in the right places. Help was all he needed.

Tony was, is and always will be my mate,
I don't care about what others say or think he was a good guy and I for one will miss you.

Firstly i would like to say thanks for all the support and knid words you have all given. Its never easy when you lose someone close to you, esp when its your big brother. What I would like you all to remember is that Tony was cleared of any wrong doing. Looking at the video on its own I agree is appears shocking. All I ask is that you must remember the press never let the truth get in the way of a good story. The IPCC clear my brother of all charges I stress the Independant part of the IPCC. Nothing to do with the police. If people still feel the need to have a rant on here about my brother then crack on. As your day will come when you feel some of the pain we are having to deal with let alone all the media hype along with that.

Tony was a thoroughly decent, honest gentleman. I have worked with Tony for the last 10 years and he will be sadly missed. Please leave the past where it belongs and lets remember what a genuine person he was.
Rest in peace Tony

Pc Mulhall is a true hero in every sense of the word. He did his job without complaint, in spite of the circumstances. As Billy Joel said, "Only the good die young."

A man who served his country to the end through thick and thin.
Let down by his employers.

Keep the green leather gloves on mate.
