Published Date: 19 September 2008
Mick Flynn, aged 48, who ran an established business selling motorbikes, scooters, accessories and parts and dismantling bikes, died after a road crash in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.
Floral tributes have been left outside one of Mick's shops on Langsett Road, Hillsborough, which has been a popular meeting point for bikers over the years.

His friend Reesh Szumski said: "I, like so many other bikers in Sheffield, will truly mis
s Mick.

"I met Mick over 32 years ago when we were teenagers. He was one of my oldest and best mates, a term l don't use lightly.

"I was stunned to hear the tragic news and to be honest he would have been the last person l would have expected to have been killed on a bike.

"Mick was well-liked by many in Sheffield, his name was synonymous with more chat, not trying to flog you too much, and always putting the coffee out as you walked in his shop.

"I spent many of my early biking years riding around Derbyshire and in particular Matlock Bath with Mick and never found fault in his riding.

"He will be missed, but like all legends his friends and family will always remember him and he will always be in our thoughts."

A book of condolence is available at The Hillsborough Hotel pub on Langsett Road, which is to be passed on to Mick's family.
