Condolences: Carol Barron

CAROL Barron, the wife of South Yorkshire MP Kevin Barron, has died aged 59.
She collapsed during the celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of Matlby Colliery, and was rushed to hospital with a suspected heart attack.

She was taken to Rotherham District General where she died the next day.

Her husband, a former miner and NUM official at Matlby, had been invited by the pit's owners to launch a family fun day during the weekend's festivities.
