New day care centre unveiled

A NEW day care centre for elderly people has been launched in Rotherham.

Melton Court Day Care Centre in Maltby is to provide day care and meals-on-wheels to people living in the local community.

The former pub has been opened by Yorkshire businessman Imran Zahir after a renovation thanks to funding from Barclays.

Five staff are employed at the centre.

Mr Zahir, whose other ventures include Care Maltby Ltd in Rotherham, said: “I hope the new centre will provide respite for the elderly in the local community.

“It’s also great we’ve renovated an unused property.”
