Make life easierfor poor-sighted

J Sprakes is right to ask, "is the Disability Discrimination Act complied with or is it just to talk about?" in his letter about Thorne Moorends Town Council. Local authorities are covered by the Disability Discrimination Act as much as anyone else and this means they must comply with the legal duty to take steps to anticipate barriers that disabled people are likely to face.

Lots of people who go to public meetings have poor eyesight. It's quite reasonable for the council to provide documents in a good size print.
