Labour paid price for failing to listen to parents
SO Myers Grove parents are angry with the Lib Dems, feeling that it is 'despicable' that the opposition parties blocked the merger of Wisewood and Myers Grove schools.
Of course, the political reality is that the Labour-dominated council, and in particular their local councillors in Hillsborough, who refused to listen to the wishes of local Hillsborough parents in the Wisewood catchment area, where there was overwhelming opposition to the merger from the onset – cost Labour seats at the recent election, including Alf Meade.
Perhaps the Myers Grove parents would rather trust the words of politicians like this Labour party who refuse to listen and support their constituents' views consistently, rather than a party who chose to fight for the local community of Wisewood.
It is Labour who have 'sold your children down the river' in their attitude of attempting to ride roughshod over the people and local community of the Wisewood catchment area. Trust Labour when they don't listen? I don't think so!
