Feeling verse after a bout of the 'flu

I've Got It

What do you do, when you've got the flu?

Sit and sniff, feel achey and stiff,

Can't breathe or talk, it hurts to walk,

Just have to stay in, drink tonics, no gin.

The eyes run, the voice goes,

Feeling frozen from head to toes.

Pills for this, potions for that,

Stuff you wouldn't feed to the cat.

Can't taste the food, don't want to eat

I'm getting thinner, I can see my feet.

But it has to be said, it's nice in bed,

Cosy and warm, just me and my ted.

I'm feeling better, thank goodness for that

I'm off for a walk, now, where's my hat?
