Cruel clampers are cashing in on us

LAST night at 9pm my partner and I nipped into Hillsborough to a local sandwich shop.

I parked in the Blue Ball car park, 50 yards from the sandwich shop.

As we pulled up and got out the car there was a lot of shouting and what sounded like metal being thrown about so we literally ran out of the car park so as not to disturb whatever was happening, as there were a few shady looking gentlemen with their arms folded looking in our direction.

Five minutes later we returned to find a gent leaning on our car swinging keys and laughing about the fact that, and I quote: "That sandwich has just cost you 100, mate!"

He had put a very large clamp on the front wheel of the car. My partner questioned what was happening and all this gent said was 100 quid cash or we tow it!

Looking around the car park there were no other cars and it was very poor lighting. The man then pointed to the signs approximately 10 feet in the air, so barely readable.

I will never return to that place and would warn other motorists of this system.
