Concert tribute to stalwart Ken

KEN Outram was well-known in Sheffield playing for the lunchtime dances at the City Hall for 37 years. He also had a dance band which played for the Saturday night dances before discos took over.

He died in January this year, aged 81 and the Keith Peters Big Band wanted to pay a tribute to him by giving a concert at the Contact Club in Dronfield, where Ken was a committee member.

This will be on Tuesday July 7 at 8.30pm with donations for the Guide Dog Association. Ken had been totally blind for 70 years of his life. All welcome.

Pat Clifton, Everard Avenue, Sheffield S17.
