All smiles on S6A bus

AS transport revolutions go, the one that happened here, in our part of town on January 26, was very much a blink-and-you'll-miss it quiet, kind of affair. But happen it did and now, for the first time in more than six years us Wadsley, Wisewood and Loxley folk have only gone and landed ourselves the best little bus service anywhere this side of the Boston Stump, haven't we. It's the S6A!

It's not just the fact that our clean and comfortable community buses zip up and down the hills like little mountain goats on steroids; or that the drivers are pleasant and polite almost to a fault (and they really are), and it's not even the fact that our new, S6A service is as regular as an All Bran-bowel movement (which it is).

Not that I'd ever want to upset anybody at the First Bus Company, you understand, but what our extremely popular S6A really means to us is that no longer do we have to tolerate that company's No 14 service that's been palmed-off on us for so many miserable years!

So, it's little wonder, then, that it's smiles all round on the sunny S6A where it's people, not profits, that are important.

Harry Dakin, Chase Road, Sheffield S6.
