Invitation to a day at the pond

A COMMUNITY forestry day is being held at Arbourthorne Pond, Sheffield, on Sunday, March 4, between noon and 3pm.

The event is open to all, but young people will be especially welcome, with opportunities to get involved in environmentally-themed activities, which will include tree planting, pond dipping, fire making, making bird feeders, wood turning and chainsaw sculptures.

There will be a clean up at the pond, arts activities and basket making.

The event has been organised with the Friends of Arbourthorne Pond.
