Comic picks a winner
IT’S another winner!
Funnyman Rob Brydon, whose TV shows including comedy series Gavin and Stacey are a big hit, picked the winning ticket at a prize draw to boost South Yorkshire Badger Trust.
The animal lover helped the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation select the winner of its winter draw to scoop an original painting by wildlife artist Pollyanna.
The badger trust, which protects animals and their setts, has received a £1,500 donation through ticket sales.
Sheffield representative Graham Shepherd said: “The cost of materials is escalating at a frightening rate so this unexpected donation is extremely welcome.”
Another £2,350 was raised for Somerset’s Secret World Wildlife Rescue centre. The painting winner was a Mr C Wright of Derbyshire.
