The last book I read
Gordon Ramsay's biography Humble Pie. The book provides a great insight into how anyone can achieve great success from extremely humble beginnings. I bought the book to understand how he became a top chef and such a successful international businessman in a relatively short space of time. I find books like this quite inspiring because they show everyone what you can do with a lot of hard work and dedication (and a big slice of luck of course).
The last CD I bought
Oasis with What's the Story Morning Glory. I bought the CD to replace an old worn-out version I had in my car. I'm not a big music fan really so I have never been to see Oasis but I must admit I do destroy their songs singing in the car on long journeys on a regular basis.
The last film I saw
Blades of Glory. I really enjoy a good comedy and Will Ferrell's films are always laugh-out-loud funny.
The last TV show I watched
Don't Blame it on the Builders. Being in construction I always watch these kinds of things and invariably shout at the TV a lot. Programmes like this, while a good watch, tend to reinforce the stereotype of cowboy builders and people in the industry not being professional which certainly isn't the case.
The last place I visited
Windsor for a surprise 70th birthday party for my mother-in-law. A very beautiful place with some great architecture!
The last meal out
The Woodlands Hotel and Restaurant, Gildersome. It was the first time we have been but decided to treat ourselves for an evening. It's a very modern, relaxed place and the food was excellent. I'd definitely recommend the monkfish.
