Adrian Walsh is director of Food and Fine Wine, the wine shop, cum deli, cum cafe, cum restaurant on Ecclesall Road, Sheffield. The former wine manager for Harrods, aged 44, opened the shop almost five years ago and sells wines all over the world.
The last book I read
The Appeal by John Grisham. I am a great fan. I don't really have that much time for reading though, except on holidays, so I tend to read food and wine books. I've just had Clive Coates' The Wines of Burgundy delivered so that
will be my bed and bath time reading for a while.

The last film I saw
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I went with Mark, our shop manager, and his wife, at Cineworld. It was like being transported back to the time when action films were action and computers hadn't taken over. I can enjoy them for the entertainment they are, instead of trying to pull apart all the corny scenes. I love all these sort of films and don't really get horror or sci-fi. And I think Richard Curtis is a genius.

The last TV show I watched
I'm a huge TV fan and watch most things from Coronation Street (hey – there are 20 million of us) to American crime series to all sorts of reality rubbish. On Sky Plus I always have CSI (all of them), Law & Order (including SVU and Criminal Intent), Corrie, and, I am ashamed to say, Big Brother. Unfortunately, this started on a Thursday when there was nothing else on and I soon become addicted to these pretty rotten shows.
However I thought the latest series of the Apprentice was unmissable for many of the wrong reasons.

The last CD I bought
What's a CD? I am not a huge music fan and listen to 5 Live in the car but the last one I bought was Billy Joel's greatest hits after watching him in the Arena for the seventh time.

The last place I visited
I love to travel and take holidays and the occasional business trip (someone has to try all that wine) as often as I can. We are shutting for a fortnight in August for a complete redecorate and tidy up (it hasn't been done since we opened five years ago) and I am off to Hua Hin in Thailand for two weeks of R&R.
The last trip I took was a rather special cruise through the Middle East to Athens to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. It was a great family reunion and very luxurious.

The last meal out
When you have probably the best chef in Sheffield working with you it's difficult to go out, so we tend to end up eating at a lot of Chinese, Vietnamese and Indian restaurants.
The last meal in Sheffield was at Dim Sum on London Road. They have authentic dim sum and the service is pretty good too.
The actual last meal out was at a restaurant near Manchester Airport called the 39 Steps. I do love eating out and we have plans to visit Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham and Anthony's in Leeds.
