"GET ONE for Christmas, you're gonna get one for Christmas..."
The wit of what used to be the football terraces has been made into another book, soon to be given to a football fan near YOU.

One Ginger Pele – named after Spurs fans' somewhat ironic chant about their centre back Gary Doherty – by Chris Parker, makes an amusing, if short read.

You could probably get through it in the half-time break but it does have some gems, treats fans equally and doesn't sneer at the big – or small – clubs' supporters as many do.

Old cubs' favourite Quartermasters Stores, Bread Of Heaven and Guatanamera appear to be favourite tunes - quick, easy and well-known I suppose.

Here's a couple of crackers set to Guatanamera.

Former Rangers and Sheffield United goalkeeper Andy Goram got the treatment from Celtic fans when it had been in the papers that he was suffering from mild schizophrenia.

"Two Andy Gorams – there's only two Andy Gorams!"

There was one about mad Wednesdayite and former Coronation Street actor Tommy Craig whose character Tommy Harris met a violent end in Weatherfield.

He was apparently spotted at a game in Scotland and Hearts fans greeted him with:

"Killed in a garage

"You just got killed in a garage."

Wrexham fans to Chester sung, fittingly, to the tune of Bread Of Heaven:

"Are you llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch in disguise?"

Only in Wales.

Chelsea supporters to a Shrewsbury streaker at Gay Meadow in an FA Cup tie - again to the tune of Bread Of Heaven:

"Is that all she

Is that all she

Is that all she gets at home?"

Finally Wolves fans' Tuesday night response to Owl's supporters: 'Wednesday Till I die'.

"It's Wednesday tomorrow

It's Wednesday tomorrow

I think it is

I'm sure it is

It's Wednesday tomorrow"

Class, every one.

One Ginger Pele is by Chris Parker, published by New Holland, at £4.99 in hardback.
