An initiative that aims to encourage young people to release entrepreneurial spirit is looking for more volunteer mentors from business.
Last year almost 110 volunteers worked with teams of young people at nearly 70 primary and secondary schools and colleges as part of the Young Enterprise initiative, which helps youngsters to set up their own mini busineses.
Meryl White, who chairs Young Enterprise’s newly formed South Yorkshire Board, said: “We want to support growth in our local economy by empowering the entrepreneurs of the future and investing in the workforce of the future.
“We are always on the lookout for more support for schools and colleges in South Yorkshire.”
The organisation is also encouraging past Young Enterprise participants to join the organisation’s Alumni programme.
