He’s one of the top tax technicians in the country and he’s only 23.

Kieron Batham-Tomkins, of Sheffield accountants Barber Harrison & Platt, has been hailed one of the “25 under 25” tax professionals in the country, by the Association of Taxation Technicians.

To celebrate the association’s 25th anniversary, a national competition was held to celebrate young professionals who have had “an exceptional journey through the world of tax so far”.

Zoe Roberts, BHP tax partner said: “I am delighted Kieron has been given the recognition he deserves. Since joining us from school, Kieron has gone above and beyond his everyday tax duties, including speaking to school leavers and promoting the tax and accountancy profession to the future generation of accountants. He is a real asset to the team.”

Kieron will be attending a national anniversary event at the Tower of London in September to mark his achievement.
