MAYOR of Doncaster Peter Davies was given a tour of a Doncaster manufacturing firm to raise the profile of borough businesses.

He was taken around the site of the Norking Aluminium site in Balby, which makes facades and windows for buildings.

Its work has included frontages for Robin Hood Airport and Doncaster Racecourse.

The visit was by invitation from Norking Aluminium Ltd managing director, Graeme Gibson.

Norking employs over 100 staff from its 30,000 square foot site at Balby.

The firm wants to encourage Doncaster Council to award contracts to businesses based in the borough.
