SHEFFIELD restaurant Viva Tequila is celebrating its 13th anniversary by turning back the clock.
The family restaurant at 960 Gleadless Road is selling its house wine at 1998 prices.
A litre of red, white or rosé will, for the next 12 months (except for December) cost £5.95 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings - just as it did for original patrons, says owner Steve Zsirai.
Just a taste
French restaurant Bistrot Pierre on Ecclesall Road is encouraging little palates.
Its Bébé Bistrot menu offers a range of gently-flavoured, authentic French dishes like roast chicken supreme and pan-fried salmon and cod fishcake with ratatouille.
Two courses cost £5.95, or half-price child portions can still be ordered from the main menu.
Five American cask-conditioned beers will be on offer at four pubs in Rotherham.
Kalamazoo Black Silk (Bells, Michigan), Sandiago Session IPA (Stone, California), Cascadian Dark Ale (Bend, Oregon), Yakima Sun (Fat Head, Ohio) and Ninety Shilling (Odells, Colorado) will be on draught at The Blue Coat in The Crofts, The Rhinoceros in Bridgegate and The Corn Law Rhymer in High Street, plus The Church House in Wath until Sunday, October 23, during their 19-day beer festival.
The pubs will serve up to 45 beers from across the UK, including a selection brewed for the first time exclusively for the festival.
