Master Cutler Pam Liversidge has praised a Rotherham training firm for providing vital vocational training for the region’s engineers of the future.

Speaking after meeting apprentices at Brinsworth Training in Rotherham, Mrs Liversidge, who is herself a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, said: “I was impressed by what I saw at Brinsworth.

“As this region attracts more investment, our requirement for apprentices of the sort I saw today will grow. We must continue to focus providing the right skills for the future and I commend Brinsworth for their very effective approach.”

Brinsworth Training business development director Paul Reeves said: “We have seen a significant rise in not only the amount of young people that want to enter the sector of engineering but also a healthy appetite from employers who want to create real job opportunities for apprentices.”
