Big spenders at John Lewis Sheffield are dreaming up ways to flash their cash thanks to an 11 per cent bonus, announced today.
The staff members - known as Partners - co-own the company and therefore all earn a share of profits when it does well.
The Partners in Sheffield are among 93,800 nationwide sharing a bonus pot this year of £156.2 million – the equivalent to nearly six weeks’ pay.
The amount is less than last year’s 15 per cent but Sheffield workers said it was still an excellent boost to their funds. A number of them are planning dream holidays.
Head of branch, James Prince said: “We have celebrated some real successes during the past year at John Lewis Sheffield and the Partner bonus is very well deserved and is also an opportunity to celebrate all we have achieved.
“Significant investment in our new beauty hall has delighted our customers, and sales from new make-up brands introduced to our shop, which includes Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier and NARS, have performed particularly well.
“We strive to deliver our customers a complete omnichannel shopping experience, enabling them to choose how and when they shop with us and our Click and Collect service is proving very popular with our customers.
“I would like to personally thank all of our Partners who continue to provide the highest standards of customer service and shopping experiences for our customers.”
