A range of events are being staged across the region to help businesses to crack the overseas market as part of UK Trade and Investment Export Week from November 9 to 13.
There are 11 events and two webinars throughout the week with the aim of opening global trading doors for regional businesses.
Mark Robson, regional director for UKTI Yorkshire and the Humber, said: “Export Week is an ideal opportunity for companies to learn more about international trade opportunities, and the support available to help them fulfil their exporting ambitions.”
Market specialists in exporting will be available to impart their knowledge at the Explore Export event at The Civic in Barnsley on November 10 from 8.30am to 4pm.
An Introduction To Export – a full day course at Sheffield Chamber is held on November 12. A breakfast seminar entitled Not Difficult, Just Different: 5 Steps to Exporting is being staged at Hangar 3 at Doncaster’s Robin Hood Airport on November 13. Hosted by UKTI and Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, it will involve representatives from construction business Pacy Wheatley, foundry Noel Village and food manufacturer World Feeds sharing their export journey.
The Technical Elements of e-Exporting Webinar – a live online seminar - is held on November 12 to consider the steps required to create a successful international business online. A second webinar, Utilising eBay and Amazon for Export Success Webinar, takes place on the same day and is aimed at online sellers wanting to increase their export sales via global e-marketplaces.
