Triple boost for e-learning

Sheffield’s claim to be the UK’s e-learning capital has been boosted by the publication of the latest list of the industry’s top ten “movers and shakers” in Europe and the UK.

Piers Lea, chief executive of LINE Communications, which has operations in Sheffield and London secures a place on the lists of both the UK and European movers and shakers.

Renate Halton, from South Yorkshire International Trade Centre and Halton International, gains a place in the European listing as the key researcher behind the 2010 Learning Light report on the e-learning sector which looked at the corporate e-learning markets in the UK and 19 European countries.

Meanwhile, Learning Light director of learning and development, Gillian Broadhead, is named on the UK list, having been instrumental in a number of initiatives, including authoritative Learning Light reports on the e-learning sector.
