Business leaders in South Yorkshire are being offered the opportunity to learn high-level mentoring and executive coaching skills, designed to help them to grow their businesses and retain talented employees.
A dozen business chiefs could have 50 per cent of the costs of gaining a high level from the Institute of Leadership and Management covered by taking part in the Government supported programme, run by Yorkshire-based Azure Consulting
Sue Alderson, director of Wakefield-based Azure Consulting, said: "Very often the people who lead private sector businesses in our area are so busy dealing with challenging economic conditions that they fail to take time out to train themselves for the new economy.
"This part-funded qualification will be delivered in a way that suits the timetable of busy business leaders.
"It will give them access to practical coaching and mentoring skills development alongside a peer group of talented senior executives."
