Specialist fall protection company Eurosafe Solutions has opened a purpose-built training centre at its headquarters in Sheffield.

The Little London Road company has created the 130 sq m centre in response to customer demand, 12 months after expanding and acquiring new premises.

Training manager Andy Jennings, who has 25 years experience of working at heights, said: “We wanted to be able to extend our range of training courses and to be able to offer small or larger groups work-at-height training at our own premises.

“Having our own dedicated training centre gives us more flexibility and provides the customer with greater choice. We’ve made a significant investment in refurbishing the training centre and kitting it out and we are looking forward to expanding our business in this area.”

The centre has a wide range of equipment, including a large internal mezzanine floor that replicates a roof area, horizontal and vertical fall protection systems, an external roof area with fall protection equipment.

It also incorporates a large classroom with wide screen television, where courses for up to 16 delegates can be run.

The company is offering working at height courses covering a range of topics, including using horizontal and vertical fall protection equipment, rescue from height, personal protective equipment, webbing inspection, harness, lanyards and arrester blocks, roof safety and roof safety and access.

Eurosafe is also offering courses training that meets the requirements of PASMA, the lead trade association for the mobile access tower industry and will create bespoke courses to suit individual businesses’ needs.

“Our role is to ensure that customers are as safe as possible when working at height and our new training centre gives us even better capability to be able to do this,” added Mr Jennings.

Eurosafe Solutions has more than 20 years’ experience installing, testing, inspecting and monitoring fall protection systems and has grown continuously in addition to its expansion over the past 12 months.

The company includes among its customers the O2 Arena, The Millennium Stadium, Manchester Evening News Arena, Gatwick and Heathrow Airports and the Emirates Stadium.

Eurosafe also provides testing and inspection services to schools, commercial and residential buildings and shopping centres across the country.
