Anyone who has worked in the plumbing, heating and related trades in the Sheffield region for a year and is new to renewable energy is being offered a free introduction to heat pump technology, systems and applications.
Heat pump specialist Danfoss is running a series of its introductory ‘HP1’ courses at its School of Heat Pump Technology on Parkwood Business Park.
Director Chris Dale said: “This is a great time to become a heat pump installer.
“With the Renewable Heat Incentive planned to be introduced for domestic users in the spring, there are lucrative business opportunities arising in this area.”
“Our HP1 course gives delegates an understanding of heat pump system design and applications, equipping them with the knowledge to potentially develop their business further within the renewable energy sector.
“It is aimed mainly at plumbers and heating engineers who may be looking to extend their skills and take advantage of the anticipated growth in renewable energy.”
