Yorkshire’s largest independent firm of chartered accountants, Sheffield-based Barber Harrison & Platt, has welcomed 12 new trainees and four placement students as part of its programme of continuing growth.

The new recruits will be working in the firm’s audit, accounts and taxation departments across various specialist sectors. Among the newcomers are five school leavers, who have been taken on as apprentices.

Managing partner John Warner said: “Our growth means that this year we are in a position to offer more apprenticeships, as well as places to graduates. As the firm grows, I am proud we are able to offer these positions and attract talented candidates to join us and start their career.”
