RAIL replacement works mean disruption to Supertram services this weekend.

Work starts at 11.30pm tonight and continues until 5am on Tuesday, affecting Church Street and part of West Street.

Church Street is one way westbound at the junction of Leopold Street, Leopold Street is one way northbound at Church Street, West Street is one way westbound at Leopold Street.

Tomorrow and Monday, trams will be replaced by buses between Cathedral and Shalesmoor on a circular route, out via West Street and back via Fitzalan Square.

Trams will operate to a Sunday timetable from Halfway, Herdings Park and Meadowhall to Cathedral and also from University of Sheffield and Shalesmoor to Malin Bridge and Middlewood.

Other bus services will be diverted.

Meanwhile, temporary traffic lights operate daily on Periwood Lane, Woodseats, until Friday, and Pothouse Lane, Stocksbridge, until July 6, for water works.

Ecclesall Road is closed to out-of-city traffic between 10.50am and noon today for the Sheffield Pride event. Tomorrow, Townhead Street, in the city centre, has stop-go boards, Derek Dooley Way has a lane closure and Normanton Spring Road, Birley, is closed.
