Sheffield motorists attending Disney On Ice and the After Dark fireworks spectacle are being advised to give themselves plenty of time to avoid delays.
Around 20,000 people are expected for the bonfire and fireworks spectacle at Don Valley Bowl.
And thousands more have tickets to see tonight’s opening performance of Disney On Ice 100 Years Of Magic, next door at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena.
Doors open for both events in the Attercliffe area at 5.30pm and traffic is expected to be heavy around that time, with workers also leaving the city.
The giant bonfire at After Dark will be lit at 7.30pm and the fireworks display set to music gets underway at 9pm. The event is due to finish around 10pm.
The Disney On Ice performance will start at 6.30pm - but will end at 8.30pm, half an hour before the fireworks spectacle at After Dark.
An Arena spokesman said: “This means families will be able to leave the Arena and then enjoy the fireworks - or leave the venue before all the traffic from After Dark.
“So leaving the area should be much easier.
“But roads are expected to be heavy early evening and we would advise people to set off early to avoid disappointment.”
Tickets are still available for both events.
After Dark tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for children (under 14), under-threes are free and are available on the night for cash only from IceSheffield and Terry Street ticket booths.
Disney on Ice 100 Years of Magic is at the Arena until Sunday, Novemebr 9. Tickets are £14.70 to £42.90, including fees. Family tickets also available. Children under 24 months sitting on an adults knee are free and do not require a ticket on this show. Buy in person, call 0114 256 5656, or book online at www.motorpointarenasheffield.co.uk.
