Sheffield’S hospitality sector is set to benefit from the arrival of two new faces.

Paul Foster, a former manager at Snoozebox Portable Hotels and Manchester United, comes to the city as general manager of Halifax Hall.

Paul will oversee the transformation of the property, originally a Victorian mansion and University of Sheffield hall of residence, into a 38-bedroom, boutique-style conference hotel.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Trading Services, a subsidiary of Sheffield University, welcomes Sarah-Jane Johnston as business development manager for conference and events.

She will lead the future development of the conferencing and events service, including the opening of brand new conference and meetings facilities within the University’s refurbished students’ union.
