Top Government adviser Lord Young met some of the business brains of tomorrow - on a flying visit to a Rotherham infant school.

The Prime Minister’s enterprise expert was at Herringthorpe Infants to find out how pupils as young as four are learning all about the world of work and business.

It is all part of the town’s trailblazing Ready Unlimited programme, which helps teachers develop entertaining lessons on the subject of enterprise for children of all ages.

Lord Young said: “I’d like to see a world in which enterprise is in all subjects because it enriches the core curriculum. Too often, young people are insulated from the lives they are going to live as adults.

“To see children this young learning about enterprise as part of their everyday curriculum shows just what is possible. If we could see this everywhere, it would be a significant step forward.”
