Technology adds interest at revamped bank branch

Top technology is helping customers manage their money at a refurbished Sheffield bank.

Free wi-fi, iPads, internet-enabled computers and a banking app are all part of improvements at Yorkshire Bank’s branch in Fargate – one of the first branches in Yorkshire to receive the upgrades as part of a £25 million programme to meet customers’ needs.

Yorkshire Bank today (Monday 15th September 2014) opened its newly refurbished branch in Fargate, Sheffield. The improvements to the branch are part of a �25 million investment programme by Yorkshire Bank to upgrade the existing branch network to meet changing customer needs. A further �20 million is being invested in improved services for customers including the expansion of mobile and internet banking as well as new products.  Fargate will be among the first Yorkshire Bank branches to feature the latest technology, including bespoke iPads which can be used to register customers for internet banking, assist with product discussions, and gather customer feedback as well as providing quick links to the Yorkshire Bank website.
