Pupils from Hunters Bar Junior School will be first in line to see the Olympic torch on its journey down Ecclesall Road on Monday June 25,
They will be tucking into pizza on the terrace at an after-school party courtesy of the restaurant, which has been named as an official torch relay party venue by Coca Cola, sponsors of the nationwide event.
Nonnas have also devised Olympic-themed burgers, pizzas, pasta and cocktails in celebration of the torch’s arrival in the city and a drinks happy hour will run 5pm-7pm.
A DJ is lined up, a barbecue will be staged on the terrace and there’s a competition to win tickets to the torch relay finale concert in Hyde Park on July 26 and free Nonnas pizzas for the duration of the Olympics.
Nonnas Chesterfield has also been chosen by Coke to host a party when the torch travels down Chatsworth Road at lunchtime on Friday June 29.
Ecclesall Road will be closed from 4.30pm and the torch goes by some time after 6pm.
