A FALAFEL takeaway has been granted a licence to open into the early hours but must now apply for planning permission.
Falafel King, on Glossop Road, wants to trade until 3am - and its late-night refreshment application to trade until 3am was approved by Sheffield Council’s licensing board despite concern for potential noise nuisance to surrounding residents.
Conditions agreed were that outside tables and chairs must be taken inside by midnight, rear windows and doors must be closed and the back yard most not be used for smoking.
Signs must be displayed to advise customers not to make a noise when leaving.
Planning permission currently restricts hours, meaning the takeaway can only open until 11.30pm. The business can only implement its new hours once it applies for permission to be changed.
