DONCASTER lass Katy Collins is hoping to bounce back with the sweet smell of success.
The 27-year-old, and her mum, Sue Collins, aged 53, have just opened the Sweet Escape sweet shop on Silver Street - eight weeks after being Katy was made redundant from her job at North Doncaster Development Trust.
The shop was opened by Freeman of Doncaster Roger Tuby, with Pedro the Clown brought in to entertain customers.
Katy said: “I’m hoping to make this the biggest sweet shop in South Yorkshire. Me and mum want it to be family run and friendly. We’re going to do homemade chocolate, sweets and cakes.”
