Low-cost airline Ryanair has announced a new winter sun route to the Canary Islands from Doncaster’s Robin Hood Airport.
Services will begin in October, with a weekly flight to Tenerife on Thursdays – tickets are now on sale on the www.ryanair.com website.
The firm celebrated the launch of its new winter schedule by announcing a 100,000-seat sale across its entire European network with prices starting from just £22.99 for travel in July and August which are available for booking until midnight on Thursday.
Maria Macken, of Ryanair, said: “Ryanair is pleased to launch our Doncaster winter sun 2013 schedule, with a weekly flight to Tenerife.
“Passengers in South Yorkshire can now enjoy sunshine all year round, thanks to Ryanair’s ultra-low fares.”
Last week, it was revealed passenger numbers at Robin Hood have nosedived – while other airports in the region fly high. Passenger numbers were 67,072 in May – a fall of 0.7 per cent compared with the same month last year.
