Staff are keen to quit

Have your say

Office staff running out of patience as they face up to Britain’s fourth year of economic downturn, according to a report from Randstad, the recruitment company with offices in Sheffield and Doncaster.

More than a third say they would take the first job offered elsewhere, meanwhile, almost one in four firms admit their staff are working at full stretch and have no spare capacity to achieve more, despite increased productivity being one of the top three priorities on the HR agenda.

Randstad says the top reasons for workers wanting to move are lack of career opportunities, personal or lifestyle reasons and uncompetitive remuneration.

Almost a third of business support staff are in roles outside their specialist area, which Randstad says is leading to considerable dissatisfaction.
