Award-winning Sheffield jewellery designer Jessica Flinn has been co-opted onto the national committee of the British Jewellers’ Association.
Jessica, 25, is a Sheffield Hallam University graduate who opened her first boutique in Sharrow Vale Road at the end of 2013 and whose company, Jessica Flinn Designs, is based in the heart of Sheffield’s historic Kelham Island industrial quarter.
The BJA is the national trade association that promotes and protects the growth and prosperity of UK jewellery and silverware suppliers.
It has more than 1,000 member companies spanning bullion suppliers, diamond and gem dealers, makers, manufacturers, galleries and retailers.
Jessica said: “To be a part of the national committee of the BJA is an enormous accolade and one that means so much to me.
“I have only been in the industry for three years and now I am being asked to represent young designers and makers across the country, which is an enormous challenge but one that I really look forward to taking up.”
