SMEs fear for profits

Pressure on profit margins and the VAT rise are seen as the biggest threats for 2011 by managers of Britain's small and medium sized enterprises, according to a poll by TheCityUK, the independent body which promotes financial and related professional services.

More than a third highlighted reduced cash flow as an issue, but less than one in 10 saw it as the main concern.
