Shoppers are set to be stopped in their tracks as emergency vehicles descend on the centre of Sheffield .
Fire engines, police cars and ambulances from past and present will head into The Moor on Sunday in the name of family fun.
Vehicles from West Bar’s National Emergency Services Museum – formerly the Police and Fire Museum – are hitting the area as part of the one-day event designed to promote the tourist attraction.
Coastguard, police and ambulance workers will be present along with mascots including Bleeper, Welephant, Blaze Bear and Paw-Lee Bear, with activities on offer.
Matt Wakefeld, museum director, said: “There will be some vehicles which people may remember from years ago, with plenty on show to demonstrate the work of emergency services past and present. We want to show what we’re all about.”
The fun starts from 11am.
