Shoppers turned out in force to snap up free prizes on offer at a store’s refurbishment celebrations.
Hundreds of hardened Sheffielders rose early to join the queue outside the city centre’s TK Maxx store ahead of the grand unveiling of its new look on Saturday morning.
And their patience paid off - as the first 200 customers through the door at Orchard Square were awarded a £10 voucher.
It was a double cause for celebration for Christine Plummer when she collected a bouquet of flowers for being the first person in the queue.
And youngsters Misha, aged six, and Freya O’Sullivan, eight, were all smiles as they collected goody bags with mum Katherine.
Store manager Adam Connor said: “We are really excited about our new look store, we’ve made it an even more stylish place to discover those bargains.
“We are happy to continue to bring Sheffield shoppers big savings on all their favourite brands.”
