High profile business leaders are hoping to get a lot of laughs for cash when they compete in a comical charity fundraiser.
Nine Sheffield business bods are preparing to take to the City Hall stage as part of Funny Business Sheffield, a unique event organised by Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity and the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The brave participants will each deliver a five minute comedy sketch to a packed out audience on October 23 when four judges will decide their funny fate.
In preparation for the event the comical contestants have undergone a five-week training regime with policeman turned creative comic Alfie Moore, who has helped them hone their stand-up skills.
Funds for the hospital will be raised through contestant sponsorship and ticket sales.
Remaining tickets costing £15 each are available from www.funnybusinesssheffield.org.uk or 0114 226 5370.
