Have your say

You’ve got to be in it to win it.

Dozens of entries have been received for the Sheffield Business Awards and the deadline for entries has now closed - apart from in two categories.

To celebrate Meadowhall’s sponsorship of the Distinction in Retail Award, entries will be accepted until 5pm on Thursday October 10.

A second category - Sports, Hospitality and Tourism - has also been extended to the same deadline.

The other 13 categories have now closed and judges will soon be settling down with all the entries to complete their crucial task.

Sheffield Business Awards are brought to you by The Star and Sheffield Chamber of Commerce for the first time this year. The organisations, who ran rival awards competitions, have come together to offer one super-contest for city businesses.

The ceremony will take place on December 5 at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre. But it doesn’t end there, for the categories match those in the City Region Business Awards competition. And a win at the Sheffield Business Awards will automatically book a place in the prestigious regional event next summer.

Elevation Recruitment is the headline sponsor of Sheffield Business Awards, which have run for 12 years. Kate Stephenson, events manager at Sheffield Chamber, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with The Star and Elevation Recruitment to create an even bigger, more prestigious awards than ever before.”

For more information on all the categories, details of how to enter Distinction in Retail or Sports, Hospitality and Tourism and how to purchase tickets for the ceremony visit Business Awards official website or call the Sheffield Chamber on 0114 201 8899.
