Two Yorkshire NHS organisations have merged to become a £90 million business supporting a wide range of NHS customers across the region.

Sheffield-based NHS West and South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Commissioning Support Unit has joined forces with NHS North Yorkshire and Humber Commissioning Support Unit to form NHS Yorkshire and Humber Commissioning Support.

The support units were formed as part of the 2012 NHS reforms to provide commissioning and business support for clinical commissioning groups, which plan and pay for local health services.
