Window manufacturer Building Products Solutions is investing £280,000 - including an £80,000 grant - to expand its premises, bring production in-house and create seven jobs.
The 32-strong Goldthorpe company is set to extend by 3,500 sq ft to house a new glass plant after a surge in demand and cash from the Regional Growth Fund.
The investment will also see the business develop its own sealed unit production plant where it can cut sheet glass to size and make window components.
Ian Harrison, managing director, said: “After a challenging few years in manufacturing we’re now experiencing an upturn in the market and this investment will ensure we’re in the perfect position to capitalise on the growing confidence.
“We’re spending substantial amounts on our workforce and new equipment with a clear growth strategy. The expansion paves the way for seven new members of staff.”
The firm is set to hit £2.4m turnover by the end of the year – more than trebling its turnover in five years.
