Smaller businesses are surging into serviced office space in Sheffield city centre, claims Office broker.com
According to the web-based organisation that helps people find serviced office space across the UK, new placements were 50 per cent up in the first quarter of the year, compared with the same period last year.
However, the average number of workstation spaces being sought is down by 75 per cent from nearly nine to just over two.
Meanwhile, the average price for workstation space fell from £251 to £229 – a drop of almost nine per cent.
Officebroker chief executive Chris Meredith said: “In Sheffield, a wave of smaller businesses has replaced the larger requirements who were taking space in the first quarter of 2012.”
