ROTARY club members will hear about a scheme to provide people in Third World countries with equipment to set up their own trades.

Barnsley Rockley Rotary Club will host the event during its dinner meeting at the Holiday Inn, Barnsley.

John Asher, from Trade Aid, will be guest speaker.

Kathy Markwick, of the club, said neighbouring rotary club members and businesses are invited to attend.

Trade aid boxes, which cost £399 to fill and send to the required country, are designed to cater for builders, carpenters, blacksmiths, tailor seamstress, mechanics, teachers and handymen, containing suitable tools and equipment.

Anyone wishing to attend the event, on Wednesday, February 15, at 6pm, should call 0114 283 0827.

The cost of the meal is £15 for two courses and coffee.
