Family owned Yorkshire car retailer JCT600 has boosted sales by more than seven per cent to £669 million and says there is more to come, following its acquisition of the Sheffield-based Gilder Group.

JCT600 says the £46 million increase in turnover was driven by a 17.8 per cent rise in new car turnover and a six per cent rise in used car turnover for the 12 months to the end of December.

“While 2012 meant ongoing economic uncertainty, we have continued to weather the storm,” said JCT600 group chief executive John Tordoff.

JCT600 has 47 dealerships throughout Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and the North East and sells 19 of the world’s most respected brands. The group now employs 1,800 people.
