The following motorway roadworks will take place in South Yorkshire in the coming week.

A lane will be closed in both directions on the M1 between junction 30 at Barlborough and junction 31 at Aston.

The hard shoulder will be in operation and there will be narrower lanes and a 50mph speed limit while drainage and barrier work takes place.

The exit sliproad on the southbound M1 at junction 33, at Catcliffe, will be closed for five nights from January 13 between 8pm and 6pm. The work to widen the roundabout and slip road will take four months.

Barrier works will also be in place on the M1 at junction 38, near Haigh. One lane will be closed overnight on the northbound carriageway from January 14 until January 28 between 8pm and 6am.

Meanwhile on the M18 lighting repairs are being carried out at junction 3. The northbound and southbound entry and exit slip roads will be closed for two nights from January 18 between 10pm and 7am.

Work is also taking place at the Ings junction of the M18.

The lane closures and diversions could be subject to change due to weather conditions, the Highways Agency said.
